* Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering, University of Michigan, 1951
* Member of the University of Michigan's 1947, 1948 and 1949 Big-Ten Champion football Teams, which were rated number one
in the nation. Never played in the Rose Bowl because of the three-year repeating rule
* Held the individual Big-Ten Single Season Pass Interception Record for 19 years
